1. First Liverpool Goal On Club Debut
Chelsea were his first club in the Premier League and then moved on loan to Italian sides Fiorentina and AS Roma. However, he returned to the Premier League in June 2017 by signing with Liverpool. At the time, his contract was the most expensive in the club’s history, costing an initial fee of £36.5 million.
Salah scored his first goal for Liverpool on his debut with a strike against Watford in August. During the 2017/18 season, Salah went on to score an incredible 44 goals in his debut Liverpool campaign, still a club record.
2. Award-winning Merseyside Derby Strike
During Salah’s amazing debut season for Liverpool, one of the most important goals was against local rivals Everton in the Merseyside Derby. Salah made his mark and scored a wonder strike to give Liverpool a vital 1-0 win. One of his best goals of his career, it demonstrated the skill that he and few others possess. He dribbled past several Everton players and lobbed Jordan Pickford to place into the top corner. This wonder goal won the 2018 FIFA Puskas Award for the season’s ‘most beautiful’ goal.
