The Football Association Community Shield or FA Community Shield is an annual match between the winners of the previous season’s FA Cup and Premier League titles held at Wembley Stadium traditionally a week before the new Premier League season kicks off.
Previously known as the FA Charity Shield, the revenues generated by the matchday are traditionally distributed to community initiatives and charity organisations around the country.
While the winners don’t automatically qualify for any European competition, many Premier League managers consider the match a barometer for the season ahead and usually want to win.
It’s a great opener for the top-flight season and you could be there to see the top clubs in England kick off their seasons in style in Wembley Stadium. Just compare the best ticket prices now!
